Hi there!
My name is Launne. I know it’s a different name, it is pronounced ‘Lawn’ like the grass. I’m a wildlife and marine biologist from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. In the picture with me is my husband Dillon and our little daughter Ruby. I’m also a mother to a bernese mountain dog named Doug and a orange tabby cat named Frank. Outside of work I like to spend time with my friends & family, hike, camp, quilt and drink wine.
In the last few years, I have become super passionate about sustainability. I have always been in love with the environment and living things as I made this my career, but lately I have had a fire under my bum to create less waste, and pay more attention to the items I was buying and how they were made. I am currently attempting to go zero waste, and with that I am learning many new things!
I have a strong desire to improve the community I live in, as well as the world. I am constantly looking for ways to help or support important causes, and sometimes it is the littlest things that can make a difference!
I decided to start this blog as a way to pass along any knowledge that I find, whether it is an initiative in Saskatoon or a great zero waste tip that can be used anywhere. I don’t know everything, but I strive to find the answers! Thank you for visiting and please follow along if you want to #domoregood and change the world for the better:)
I truly believe that if everyone does their part, we can make this world a better place.
